Scenic drive and camping in Mammoth Cave National Park campground.
We saw a lot of wild animals, and many deer. In the middle picture you can see a deer about 25 feet behind our tent.
We took both the Historic Tour and the Domes and Dripstones Tour – it’s a good idea to do both, as you travel through different caves and see many different formations on each tour.
It is very difficult to photograph the amazing, underground caves at Mammoth Cave National park, as no flash photography is allowed.
There are some amazing stalactites and stalagmites in Mammoth Cave National Park.
We were told by our tour guide that they ‘grow’ about ONE cubic inch every 200 years. The massive formation we were viewing was >40 feet in total size.
